There is an increasing interest for the 2,4 GHz wireless communication technology called Bluetooth. Also Opticon is interested in extending their product range with devices that can operate wireless with a bluetooth interface. Following on the positive response to the data collector with bluetooth interface, also a bar code laser scanner gun will be supplied with this interface. This new model will be a valuable addition to the product line, combining a intuitive gun shaped bar code laser scanner with a wireless communication technology that ensures more freedom in operation, with up to 10 meters working space. Opticon has also plans to equip a 2D scanner gun with Bluetooth.
